Cle de Peau Beaute Cleansing Cream Oil

Finished with this 130mL/4.2oz. tube of Cle de Peau Beaute Cleansing Cream Oil a couple of weeks ago so post this now before it gets buried in my draft folder.

This was a cream-to-oil cleanser scented with CdP's signature fragrance in most of their skincare product, a lovely feminine powdery scent. The cleanser came out of the tube a semi-translucent cream that melted into an oil upon contact with the skin. The oil was on the thin side, but not so thin that it felt silicone-y, which I very much dislike. It didn't rinse well though and left behind a film, just like a cleansing cream--I guess it was called a cleansing cream-oil after all?

The film it left behind was much worse than a cleansing cream though, because this film didn't just stay on my skin, it was also on my hairline, my hair, and my shower floor, very much a better-smelling and much more expensive version ($75!) of Versed Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm. Shampoo didn't remove the film from my hair, and my hair got super oily the next day. By the end of my shower though, my shower floor did feel less greasy under my feet, not that this helped my impression of the product. No wonder it was discontinued. Good riddance.
