Wonder Honey Honey Dew Hand Cream Part III

Here are the last of my Wonder Honey Honey Dew Hand Creams as well. It's not that I've used them all. Of course I haven't. More like in these past few years, they haven't released any new scents, at least not to my knowledge.

The 50g full size tubes (above) are too big, so I particularly like the Hand Cream Gifts, with 6 mini tubes in different scents. However, here too they kept recycle the same scents from the previous year, meaning I'm buying the same stuff over and over in different packaging. So I just stopped buying altogether :(
Hachimitsu no Mori Hand Cream Gift 2016

It's kind of a shame, because they are great hand creams with many great fragrances. I prefer the Softening (とろとろ) variety over the Moisturizing (しっとり) ones, because they leave my hands so soft and smooth.

Hachimitsu no Mori Hand Cream Gift 2018, wherein all the hand creams are of the Softening formula. It was my favorite gift set thus far and I was sad to have finished it a couple of years ago.

Below are notes on the different fragrances I've used. I think I won't buy anymore unless they introduce new stuff. I get bored easily, and yes, it's annoying, but hey, there are so many new goodies out there try, why stick with just one?

- Blooming Forest (Moisturizing) 50g: had a very mild and soft somewhat fruity scent with hints of apple and wasn't overly sweet. In fact, this was probably among one of my favorite scents so far in a hand cream. Loved this hand cream even though I usually prefer the Softening kind!

- Citrus Sorbet (Softening): very faint bitter citrus scent, otherwise was pleasant to use.

- Cotton White (Softening): smelled like generic soap with a touch of flower.

- Flower Gelee (Moisturizing): a mild and clean flower scent. I was expecting it to be perfumy but the scent was surprisingly pleasant.

- Fresh Myrtle (Softening): honestly, I had no idea what myrtle smelled like, so I could only say this was a subtle, woodsy, and pleasant scent.

- Maple Honey (Moisturizing): a sweet scent that was neither maple nor honey.

- Maple Honey (Softening): you know what was surprising about this? The same scent smelled different in a different cream formula! I didn't like the scent in the Moisturizing formula above, but I did in this Softening formula. Weird, huh? I really enjoyed this 2018 Hand Cream Gift set.

- Peach Compote (Softening) 50g: delectable peach scent, just a wee bit strong.

- Pure Floral (Softening) 50g: nice floral scent but wasn't really my cup of tea, also pretty strong.

- Petal Petal (Softening): a nice and mild floral scent that wasn't my fav but wasn't bad either.

- White Breeze (Moisturizing): strong flower fragrance upon application, but by the time the cream absorbed the scent had mostly dissipated, leaving just a mild generic soap scent.

- White Rose (Softening): pink gel-cream in appearance but felt more moisturizing than the Moisturizing variety. Weird! The rose scent was mild too. Likey.

I almost meant to buy one of these when I still lived in Japan, and never did. Too bad they don't seem to make the peach one anymore.
My favorite hand cream is probably still Precious Garden (either Rose or Peach), and the good old Nivea one that smells like, well, Nivea for bedtime.

Hi Julia,

I still have some and will set aside a few tubes for your next care package ^.^

How are you feeling?

Cheers,
D.

Oh, that's not why I wrote that! I'm drowning in hand cream right now (I have like ten tubes flying around), and I'm sure they'll bring back the peach eventually. But thank you so much!

Of course I know that wasn't why you wrote that, but I'm saving you some anyway :P It might take me a while to send off the next care package, so your current 10 tubes might be down to 5 tubes by the time you receive it. See, it works out ^.^

Hugs,
D.

Thank you, that's so kind! Is there anything you want from Europe?

You're so welcome <3 You know I always love those lip balms you send ^.^ I still have some though, so let's wait until we're both ready for more goodies, yeah?

Hugs,
D.

We'll have to, because I don't have any plans to go home to Germany for the foreseeable future. ^^;
